Cousin friends...

Not many can say that they are closer in age to their nieces and nephews than some of their own siblings. But Steve is in that category. He's the second youngest in a large family which meant his older siblings were gone and having their own children when he was quite young. Now those nieces and nephews are having children resulting in great grandchildren older than grandchildren within the family.

I was pregnant at the same time as my niece and we both had boys. A few weeks back, they came to visit for a family wedding and we were finally able to meet the first great grandchild who is 5 months older than Briggs. He stole our hearts and it kills me they live away from us.

These two are going to grow up believing they're cousins. And I'm pretty sure they'll be good friends. They'll be cousin friends which are the best friends to have.
