So we've come up with several different activities for her to do during rest time. All of which have her downstairs by herself. She can read, color and do puzzles.
I went downstairs the other day to let her know rest time was over and this is how I found her.

All dressed up and no where to go. And although dress up is not typically a rest time activity she was doing a puzzle in this get up and she was being very quiet. I had to give her credit!

What's funny is when Hunter is downstairs playing with her and I can hear the conversations they share. Hallie is insistent that he dress up as well. And as much as Hunter used to love dressing up with her, he's starting to grow out of it and doesn't always agree to her plan. But she sure tries in her most convincing voice to get him in something, and a lot of times it works. They'll walk up the stairs like royalty, Hallie in her gown and Hunter in his cowboy get up. I've got to get a picture of him sometime, it's a crack up!
Marvelous. Who wouldn't rather dress like that over putting together a puzzle for the 100th time?
ReplyDeleteShe is so so cute! I didn't realize her and Josh (my little boy) were the same age. He starts Kindergarten this fall as well. Where did the time go?!
