We were going to my family reunion when we passed through town the same time our friends were passing through town. We made a quick 30 minute stop to remind our children of their once surrogate family. The family we spent Christmas Eve with, birthday parties, baby blessings, 4th of July and everything in between. Our kids refer to them as cousins. We refer to them as cousins. They're family.
Our children conveniently line up age-wise with their three youngest. Fortunately, our youngest are the opposite sex and we have high hopes of a relationship in their future.

You have a gift when it comes to both photography and words! I mentioned to her that one of these days I would leave a comment on it, and now you have beat me to it!
