Steve made breakfast for us and then we were out the door to drop Hallie off at school. We've probably only got one more year of having Hallie thinking that its "cool" for us to drop her off so we made it a family affair!
She's lucky that her best friend (and neighbor friend) is in her class for the second year in a row and if the teacher knows what's best for her, she'll put them on opposite sides of the room!
Hunter patiently (kind of) waited his turn to be dropped off at school. Starting at 7am he started asking how long until his school started. He continued to ask almost every 15 minutes and then insisted he would be late if he went with us to drop Hallie off. He made it in plenty of time and he proudly walked us to his pre-school (which he attended last year) and was over the moon that his dad finally got to see his classroom.
My kids are young enough that every day of school is the best day ever and they each came home with rave reviews. I've got a feeling it's going to be a good year.
Bennett, on the other hand, wandered the house looking for his brother and sister and cried enough tears to last a lifetime. I'm hoping he finds his groove soon!
