Yes, my pictures from our Idaho summer getaway could go on forever so I just decided to throw the modge podge of photos in one last post and finish them all up. This year was our longest visit yet at almost four weeks long - and I counted my lucky stars we were in Idaho as I saw the temperatures rise in Arizona.
If there is a sprinkler running - chances are kids will find it. Always.
Steve joined us for a few days of our trip to be there for my brother's wedding. Although his visit was brief, we managed to play tennis a few times and enjoyed what I believe to be one of the best burgers, the "ranch hand" from a small shop in Ontario, Oregon.
Did I mention my kids love the sprinklers - we have a pool in our backyard and they love sprinklers, go figure!
It's hardly a family gathering unless we pull out the infamous yellow discs for some dodge ball.
We soaked in a lot of cousin time.
And my mom spent many mornings on the piano bench with the misses going over songs, practicing notes and playing duets.
Best of all - we spent a lot of time with two of my favorite people. They're the best and I love that we get to spend an extended period of time in their home each year. It makes living far away just a little bit easier knowing we get this time with them each year.
And before you start feeling sorry for my poor husband who wasn't able to stay in Idaho with us - he managed just fine without us. Here's a picture of what he was doing while we were in Idaho:
Yes, that is the Great Wall of China behind him. Steve had to spend some time abroad for his International MBA program in China which is what enticed me to stay in Idaho for so long. Although Steve claims he would've rather been with us.
On all accounts our summer getaway was a success and it made the summer race past us at a record pace. Already looking forward to another Idaho trip next summer.
Hey Kara-love reading your blog! We drive by Ontario on the way to UT. What's the name of the place you had your great burger at?
