Reason for the Season...

I love this holiday season more than anything. I was just sitting in our dark living room this evening admiring the beauty of the Christmas tree. The one thing I struggle with is making sure my children (and myself) remember who we are really celebrating this time of year. I'm constantly looking for ways to put Christ back in Christmas within our home and base traditions around Him.

I'm excited to introduce (and giveaway) a truly unique way to put Christ back in Christmas. For those that live in Utah and have been to Thanksgiving Point in the last while might be familiar with the "I am the light of the World Garden". A talented sculptor by the name of Angela Johnson has created breathtaking sculptures depicting the life of Jesus Christ. I was fortunate to cross paths with Angela years ago when she asked me to do some graphic design work for her, she truly is amazing. photo 9b452975-644d-4fe6-a391-d7064f76f351.jpg (In her kitchen several years ago!)

I fell in love with her work - go to Thanksgiving Point and check it out, you will too.

She has a new product that allows depictions of her sculptures (on a much smaller scale) to be in every home. They are called "Etched Glass Images (EGI)" and are replicas of the statues she's carved. Priced at $19.95, these EGIs are actually etchings of Angela's art embedded in shatter-resistant glass. Each EGI comes with a silver-plated chain, so that someone can hang them from their Christmas tree or on an ornament stand. Every piece arrives in a beautiful, magnetic-closure box with an outer box displaying a photo of that particular EGI - perfect for a gift. photo 20131208-DSC_8191.jpg Nestled among the Disney and Hallmark ornaments there's one reminding us of the season - not just our Savior's birth, but our Savior's life. Check out the 20 different EGIs at www.ajsculptures.com photo 20131208-DSC_8186.jpg

Best news of this post - I get to give one EGI away to two lucky readers! Good Luck, winner will be announced next Monday. a Rafflecopter giveaway
