18 weeks...

Amid all the building and sawdust - this guy turned 4 months old: photo 20140211-DSC_0585-Edit.jpg He's a whopping 15.5 pounds and 26 inches long. He's a solid boy for sure. He's proven he can roll from front to back and back to front although doesn't do it all the time. He likes to put weight on his legs and is just starting to enjoy the exersaucer. We're working on his eczema and we often put socks on his hands because he scratches his face relentlessly.

He has a lot to say lately and he loves to babble. He often has a death grip on my hair and is starting to hang on to things and put them in his mouth.

His hair is starting to calm down and doesn't stand straight up - he's starting to lose some in the back and it's really noticable when you have dark hair.

He's content. He's happy. We're happy that he's happy.

See more of his chalkboard art.

  1. I absolutely love your weekly photo ideas! I have a 15-day-old baby boy, bought myself some gray backdrop paper and am all set to copy you! Except I can't figure out how you do all of the drawings? Any tips? (I love all of your building projects too! Some day I'll come back here to copy those too. Some day . . . . .)

    1. I take a lot of photos each week on a plain gray background. I look through the pictures (often times with an idea in mind from something that has gone on that week) and when I find the one I want to work on I bring it into photoshop. I draw with the brush tool on a light spatter setting on a new layer over the picture. I then delete whatever part of the layer that sits on top of him so it looks like its drawn around him. The first couple I did were very simple, which gave me the confidence to do some more in depth drawings. If he's in the perfect position for something, sometimes I bring a picture from the internet and trace over it and then delete that layer. Good luck!!
