Field trip...Butterfly museum...

You know what's great about 2nd graders - they still beg and plead to have you go on field trips with them. Hallie's my first child so I'm not sure how long they actually think their mom's are cool, but she's still digging me and I'm digging that!

However, field trip's come at a cost. I've got to find someone to watch my three kids at home which is often daunting. But I pulled it off and I had one excited girl and her best friend by my side the whole time we were at the butterfly museum.





I learned about the lifecycle of the butterfly as well as their migration patterns. I also learned which boy Hallie thinks is "pretty cool" (because he's so smart) which was probably the most valuable information I took away from the field trip. If she's that chatty on field trips I will definitely be going on a lot more with her!
