I usually have a great list of things I want to accomplish over the weekend and then fun activities to do with the kids. This weekend is no different and my list is getting longer and longer. I'm sure the pool will somehow be involved and I'm sure the kids wouldn't mind an outdoor movie to go along with their pool adventures.
But what I wish I was doing this weekend is joining my husband in California for his best friend's wedding. I can only imagine the fun he will have with all of his old friends. The stories and laughing will be never ending and I wish I was there to listen to it. Not that I was around for any of the original stories, but I've heard them so many times, I feel like I was there and its funny to hear how they get embellished over the years!
I got a small dose of the weekend fun earlier this week when we attended the pre-wedding dinner. My cheeks hurt from laughing and smiling so much - it was such a good time. Steve has a pretty remarkable friend base from high school and although we rarely see any of them anymore, they are as thick and thieves.
Some things get better with age and friends are one of those things. This weekend will be a great reunion for all of them in celebration of Tim. I'm just trying to figure out how to get him to take pictures so I can pretend like I was there!
My wife and I recently got married and held both the ceremony and reception at this place. The manger and his assistant were so helpful and friendly throughout the process.
