Water Balloon Reviews...

Summer is a time for water balloons and I've used two new products I want to tell you about.

The first is "Bunch-o-balloons" purchased at Wal-mart or they're also sold on TV. I saw a YouTube video using this product. You can fill 40 balloons in 10 seconds. The pack came with three sets of 40 for $10.

I was skeptical that this would actually work - but to my surprise the balloons were filled up in no time.

Water balloon reviews: Bunch-o-Balloons vs Zorbz
Pros:
Fills balloons quickly
Absolutely no tying balloons
Kids can do it

Cons:
Balloons are pretty small when they are filled up
It's pricey - kids can throw 100 balloons in no time
Not all the balloons filled - some fell off or had tears

When I was looking for the Bunch-o-balloons, I came across the Zorbz self-sealing water balloons. Sold at Walmart, a bag of 100 for $5.

These fill up just like a traditional water balloon you just don't have to tie them

Pros:
No Tying
Balloons can hold more water

Cons:
It takes time - they are filled with a nozzle just like regular balloons.
The balloons have to be filled and used quickly. There was a major flaw in this design. The self-sealing mechanism is a little capsule that ends up in the neck of the balloon and holds the water in. However, the capsule starts to dissolve and starts to turn to gel making it so the water can come out when the balloon is handled or thrown. I gather they made them this way so they are biodegradable but it defeats the self sealing action.

I vote that the zorbz are not worth the money when they don't actually self-seal You end up tying them anyway 7 minutes after you fill them because they start to leak. I loved the bunch-o-balloons and although I wouldn't spend the money for daily use, for organized activities and games they are totally worth it.
