DIY Napkin Pillows...
Quite possibly one of the easiest projects I've given myself: Napkin pillows. I've been making these for years - long before my love for intense power tools! Sometimes it's just nice to know I can start and finish a project in 30 minutes!
I'm always on the lookout out for cute cheap napkins - Pottery Barn always pulls through for me. Their napkins are 20" squares and they always have some fun patterns.
These really do come together so easily.
Since they're napkins, they're already cut to size and the edges area already finished - this makes you already half way finished! I use an invisible zipper as a way to close them - you could use buttons, ties...whatever you're comfortable with.
Invisible zippers used to be really intimidating to me, but a quick search on youtube can give you step-by-step instructions and put your mind at ease.
Once your zipper is sewn on, sew the remaining three sides.
Make sure you open the zipper just a bit so you have a way to turn it right side out. After the corners are sewn, trim them so you have less bulk when you're trying to make a clean corner right side out.
This makes a 19" pillowcase which works well for a 20" pillow form. Always make sure the pillow is slightly larger than the case so it fills better.
That's it. Done and done.
