February Swimming...

When you're acclimated to warm weather like we are, swimming weather is when it's 100 degrees outside. Yet, every time people come to visit our beautiful 80 degree weather, it's swimming weather to them. My kids complain that its cold and the visitors become fish in the pool.

With my brother's family visiting last weekend, they wanted to swim. But our pool is freezing, at least to the our thin blood. But the conference center that my brother was at had outdoor heated pools - the exact heated pools we visited this time last year when our friends came for spring training.

I wasn't sure how Bennett would do. Even though he learned how to swim last year, kids his age often regress until they get used to it again. But he jumped in and was just fine! The rest of the kids jumped from one pool to another, playing underneath the waterfall and making underwater GoPro videos.







Its nice to go swimming at least once this time of year so you can be reminded as to who needs new swimsuits! Its about time for us to stock up!

What made this February swim even better was my sister-in-law constantly checking the weather back home with their low teen temperatures and blizzard conditions. I thought maybe we would convince them to stay on the swimming alone!
